Imo the most similar to ToG in terms of overall theme, narration, plot, and characters.
Both have a relatively serious narration with a hint of humour. Started out with "lessons" but evolve into a story with much bigger, darker themes, and have a mix of wit and action for fights
Both have "Chosen MC" who gradually moulds into his role. Characters are often morally ambiguous, have diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and outlooks on life. Lack of female character sexualisation, both have strong female characters in powerful positions.
