They didn't necessarily ask to be a magical girl, or at least the position they occupy. Instead, they screw around and play with cliches, which makes it hilarious to read.
Akogarete is about a magical girl who likes to do BDSM shit with her enemies (or maybe allies, question mark) and Machigatta is about a magical girl who likes to not care about anything and use overcheat(shitty) powers to beat her ennemies in the most simplest and stupidest way possible.
So both the type of manga you read when you're exhausted from the usual formula of magical girl or even dark magical girl.
