Ixion Saga DT

Ixion Saga is a somewhat failed attempt to replicate the style of anime Gintama introduced .
If you find yourself thinking that Ixion Saga seems unrefined or a good concept executed badly , Gintama is for you .
Now if you actually like/love Ixiong Saga then Gintama is your new favorite series .
If there is an anime similar to Ixion it has to be Gintama. Considering the fact that they both have the same director makes it even more plausible.
From the very start it is impossible not the see similarities: jokes about everything that is sexually oriented (tama, ED, DT...), parodies of other anime, almost static scenes with conversation... You have it all. The main difference is that Ixion actually has a plot and stays on course. And the thing about samurai or video games is absolutely unimportant.
Ixion Saga DT and Gintama are kind of similar because the jokes are similar. Ixion Saga is as good as Gintama and makes you laugh as much as Gintama.
I'd say Ixion Saga DT was slightly underwatched, if I will. Compared to Gintama, the plotline may be a world's difference, but the humor definitely struck me as similar. Ixion Saga is a funny show, with diverse and lovable characters, and they do go out of their way to reference different 4th-wall-breaking content-- Even the plot, literally!
And if you're a Hiroshi Kamiya fan, it's your lucky day: one of the main supporting characters is voice by him. Kaji Yuki also makes his mark in this comedy, as well as none other than Gintoki Sakata's seiyuu! It's really great, I would recommend this to anyone who

They have the somewhat the same type of comedy. But Gintama's better in braking the 4th wall and also have serious arcs. Both are really great animes.
