I watched these two anime pretty much back to back and noticed that brynhildr was very similar to deadman wonderland.
Both anime have a similar system of people required to consume something (candy/pill) to stay alive. In deadman wonderland, they have branches of sin-blood weapons, and in brynhildr they have powers such as erasing people's memories.
The character relationships also have similarities.
Deadman Wonderland - Shiro + Ganta played together as children
Brynhildr - Neko + Ryouta played together as kids
I believe that there were more similarities, however because it has been awhile since I've watched these animes
