If you're looking for some nonsense fun, here you have two great series to pick: Azumanga Daioh makes you laugh like there's no tomorrow, and Fumoffu is not that fun, but it has weapons and more action.
Both are utterly hilarious comedy-shows without any real plot. While watching Fumoffu, I thought it felt pretty much like Azumanga Daioh with FMP-characters.

What they have in common? What they don't have in common! Both are completely random, with most of the time the shows aren't episodic. Both give the slice-of-life genre and gives it a booster shot in both arms, and goes off on random adventures on the spur of the moment. Finally, they are by are the funniest shows that anime has to offer!
