Both have a girl as the main character that are forced to accept a cruel world and must deal with politics and their own feelings in order to achive their goals and meet everyone's expectations. The action in Akatsuki no Yona takes place in the past and the main character doesn't really have to pick up a guy, while the action in Hanasakeru Seishounen takes place in the present and the main character must choose the guy she loves the most. The most probably guy to be chosen in both animes has a great personality.

Hanasakeru Seishounen and Akatsuki no Yona have very different plot and settings, but I absolutely love the female protagonists. The female protagonists are in no way empty shells you want to yell at; they are both characters with favorable personalities.

While there are many differences between Yona of the Dawn and Hanasakeru such as time and location differences... If its about the love aspect in how you loved how Hak agonized over Yona and how they're childhood friends then Lee-Leng and Kajika from this anime will invoke a similar flame of moe in you especially in the later part of the series. Lee-Leng is also in the "body guard" type of position and can not express his feelings freely just as Hak can not because of his status and because of Yona's feelings. The pacing is not as fast as Yona of the Dawn until

Akatsuki no Yona reminded me very much of Hanasakeru Seishounen. Hak is like Li Leng and Yona is like Kajika in that both share the same fierce eyes >:) (At least from what I remember). The story lines although different time periods have some similarities to them. Worth watching both!
These anime are similar because:
-Li-ren/Lee-Leng/Li-Leng (different spellings) is similar to Hak (similar protagonists)
-Kajika is similar to Yona(similar protagonists)
-The female protagonists are surrounded by 4 males (reverse harem)
-Both protagonists learn how unfair the world is
-Same atmosphere (childhood friends, bodyguards, secret feelings)
Although Akatsuki no Yona revolves around fantasy aspects, like dragons, and although Hanasakeru Seishounen revolves around politics, they are similar in:
-Atmosphere
-Characters

-Both are reverse harems
-Female MCs are princesses surrounded by attractive bishounens helping/protecting them
-Female MCs both learn to stand up for themselves
-Both involve political squabbles
They both have a strong female protagonist surrounded by these (beautiful) men. They both have childhood friends with whom they start developing feelings. Both stories have a political setting where the protagonists learn how cruel the reality is and want to make things better.
