Both anime follow an alien whose organisation aims to wipe out humanity for earth.
Both the main characters find an earth animal so irresistibly cute.
I would say they have similar humour with Kyuujitsu no Warumono-san being slightly darker.
In Kyuujitsu no Warumono-san the main character falls for panda bears.
They just want to enjoy their days off and not have to fight the sentai and find panda bears relaxing.
Follow his antics as he avoids anything related to work!
In Kawaisugi Crisis, the main character falls (at first) for domestic cats.
They want to study all the cute animals on earth (even if it kills them!).

Two comedies set in Tokyo with superior-than-human-beings going to invade the world and perish humanity to take over but is stopped by some kind of cute animal.
Main difference would be that Kawaisugi's characters are living somewhat peacefully at Earth investigating animals after signs of interest whereas Kyuujitsu has a bit more going on with good vs. evil and whatnot at play.

Similar concept of an evil force planning to wipe out humanity, but rendered powerless in the face of cuteness of Earth animals.
In these comedies our main characters stay in the earth with evil goals but they are busy loving one particular animal, pandas and cats. About hisrory: Kawaisugi.. Revolves around animals and the other one is about the dayli life of the supposed villain of the story.
