Both series are comedies, with a main character who's a bit of a bum but is forced to fight against (and aside) all kinds of crazy sci-fi creatures and aliens.
Space Dandy tells much deeper and more memorable stories while Tentai Tenshi Sunred is gag and one shot comedy shorts, but both series have some memorable and funny creatures.
