Both have the Idol elements but futher than that it's truly a drama story about emotion and connecting to people, Budoukan has always been an anime I look back to for a pick me up when I'm down, it always makes me smile no matter how many times I've seen it
Both shows try to show the "reality" behind the idol industry. They talk a lot about the nature of relationships between idol/celebrities and their fans and often use the same topics like "how fans would react to an idol being in a relationship".
The differences would be that the tone is way more comedic in OshiBudou and that he issues aren't treated as seriously as in Oshi no Ko, but it could be interesting if you want to see more of these topics in a dedicated anime.
