The Pretty and Aikatsu franchises has been rivals for years - both feature sparkly cute middle school idols who for groups and face rivals - and these two are no exception.
Aikatsu Friends and Kiratto Prichan were announced and released within weeks of each other. Both follow pairs of friends competing with other friends for a place at the top of the idol food chain.
Pure Pallete of Friends are much more wholesome, with great characters and a much more professional view of idol life. Kiratto's Miracle Kiratts rely heavily on slapstick humor, and take a lighthearted approach to idol life.
