both are essentially just a dozen episodes of the MC showing off his power.
Both the main characters are overpowered and demonstrates expectational abilities than the average being.

In both of these animes, the main characters (Anos and Shin) have insane power and are way ahead of everyone else. Unlike The Misfit of Demon King Academy, in Kenja no Mago, Shin has immense power but is unaware that he is so far ahead of everyone else so when he is demonstrating his powers that he finds normal, those around him are surprised and impressed.
