however Shield Hero portrayed this much much better in my opinion
Both are isekai were our black hair protagonist gets belittled due to his social status, and finds his redemption by being the most overpowered character among those we know, also both in some point of the story our protagonists save a brown hair beast girl from slavery, and now they are eternally grateful with our protagonists, they become their new slaves
Similarities on MCs:
- Both MC are underestimated / hated / heavily criticized early on the show (for different reasons)
- both MC experienced trauma explained early on the show and thus developed appearing unaffected or stoic to peers and strangers in order to emotionally protect themselves
- both MC became gradually OP through time and motivated through anger and frustration
- both MC gathering a harem like it's no one's business (well, this is an isekai anime what do we expect)
- both MC (while unconsciously gathering a harem) truly respects the women around him and wishes to protect them, while not being misogynistic about it (hallelujah!)
