To me they both feel similar because of the family-like topics they have. They can both have cute and sad moments too (Gakuen Babysitters being a lot more friendly with it)
But yeah overall you should see Kotarou Lives Alone if you want something more deep yet similar to Gakeun Babysitters.

Both series are about children dealing with trauma, even though Gakuen babysitters is more in school activity I really recommend watching Kotaro lives alone.

They both have little kids that are getting taken care of by those that love them, and they have sad backstories. I wouldn't say they're exactly the same, but they got cute ass kids and as you watch they'll become your own kids.

In my opinion its more slice of life like then Kotaro Lives Alone but I still feel like whoever enjoys one would probably like the other too. They both have main characters whose parents aren't present in their life, and an older character who takes care of them. In Gakuen Babysitters its two brothers and one is in highschool while the other stays at the school daycare, which the older brother is a club member of. I'd say characters aren't really similar in personality though.
