Starting off, these anime only share similar personalities/backgrounds. I find their cast and main lead to be pretty different. Just something to think about
1) Both anime are focused on school based games IE random games in Liar and gambling games in Kakegkurui
2) The better each participant does in each game determines where they stand in the school. Kakegkurui has money where Liar has stars
3) Both animes have our MC's trying to figure out their opponents plans and how to foil them, but they go about it in different manners.
