• Both are coming of age story which centre around a low esteem female lead. Both the story focuses on MC's growth and there is lots of emotional and heartwarming event throughout the series.
• Both have beautiful art and animation. Kinda give similar vibes.
• My happy marriage is more romance oriented where else Violet Evergarden is episodic and doesn't focuses much on romance until the very end of the series (movie).

Violet Evergarden and My Happy Marriage are anime with settings based on similar timelines but from different regions, and while My Happy Marriage is more romance focused, both anime have a focus on a main character with a struggle to understand and handle emotions and cover those aspects in a very deep and often heartfelt way, both anime also have excellent production quality, with outstanding animation, OST, voice acting and directing all being a perfect enhancement to these great stories.
