The characters are endearing to both anime.
In addition, the suspense is at its height, there is a lot of paranormal stuff going on, and these evil beings, weird creatures that are supposed to be invisible become visible.
A lot of passage is creepy.
And the two animated ones are quite dismal on a lot of points.
