I don't like anime with silly characters where decisions don't really make sense and their thinking seems random. Both these anime have intelligent characters, where you can only be pleasantly impressed with their decisions and thinking patterns. I guess both have a psychological aspect. They're not at all similar in terms of the plot.
It's weird to say this since they both involve supernatural elements to the plot (time travel for Boku Dake, and Ajin creatures in Ajin), but they're both very realistic in a sense, I guess because of the way the characters respond to situations and the internal consistency. You won't feel like
