The humor is very similiar, MC is actually not a "supreme being"/"great evil dragon" but even when he tells others, they don't believe it. All the time when MC says something like "don't hurt these humans" his subordinates think it's a great plan to ultimately rule over all of them or something like that.
Also the subordnates in both animes are incredibly powerful, more than any human could imagine and the MC tries to prevent them from abusing their power while also keeping his image as villain.
