A strong focus on several characters coming together to combat evil. They both have a great mix of magic, comedy, and action. Both have pretty good plot twists as well.
The key difference is that Tales of the Abyss tends to focus more on fleshing out its characters (it's twice the length), while Night Wizard skips straight to the action.
