The heroines of these series are extremely similar in both their personalities and their outlooks on life.
The animes aren't really deep but the stories they tell are quite interesting. Not focusing on the bigger story but rather main characters relations to other characters. Which is actually really enjoyable as it is not over focused, and makes it easier to watch.
The heroines are cheery girls who try to gather a group of girls to form something new. If you like school type anime I recommend you watch them both.
