Both anime are partially produced by the same producers and are made in the eighties. Some similarities are that they both involve talking animals. The main character in Ox Tales is a an Ox (doh) and in Dondon Domeru to Ron (Dommel) the main character is a dog. There are still many differences as well but the simplicity and the humor in both anime are quite alike.
