While Hibike! Euphonium isn't centered around romance, I think both have some similar themes such as hiding one's feelings and dealing with the struggles of growing up. Also, the main characters' personalities and interactions remind me of each other (Oumae being similar to Koito and Asuka being similar to Touko). Both shows reveal multiple facets of the main characters' personalities and touch on believable doubts, thoughts, and dreams that people might have in high school.

To tell real feeling is difficult. Compulsion can't take this. Have you ever thought them? Yeah, me too. Someone don't want to be ahead. Someone prioritize themselves. They have to deal with those before it becomes too late. Both are different story and genre though, main characters relationship are similar. Kumiko and Asuka, Yuu and Nanami. Kumiko and Yuu are junior who have sensitive heart. They really reliable for their age. So they can understand person's feeling. Asuka and Nanami are very similar personalities and same voice actor. They are senior of both protagonists (Kumiko and Yuu). They seems playful, but the truth is they have heavy sensation and pasts.   read more
