Both are tightly woven stories with a similar tone: somber yet hopeful, plus the thriller and mystery elements throughout. Both stories that blend the darker sides of reality with brighter spots of hope, depicting the moral grayness of good people who have done not-good things.
They're both shows that reveal themselves piece by piece in all the small details, making you question what you're watching (in the good way) until you get to the end and go, oh, wow, that was beautiful.
If the tone or overall feeling of one resonates with you, give the other a try.

Detectives. Id:Invaded and Terror in Resonance both follow detectives trying to locate dangerous people.
Id:Invaded has great detective Sakaido trying to locate serial killer creator John Walker. ZnT has Shibazaki trying to hunt down terrorist group Sphinx.
Both have great use of deductions used within them, though I would say that Id:Invaded does a better job than ZnT at mystery.
