These are both Sports animes with cute characters for the mc that fight for their goals, even when they don't believe in themselves. I know Yuri on Ice is pretty new, but when I saw it I was immediately reminded of haikyuu.
Reasons why they are similar:
-The art style is pretty and bright and colourful and new for both of them.
-They are both boys sports animes
-The main character is adorable

- both kageyama and viktor are strong
- both MCs motivate each other (kageyama wouldn't be the way he is right now without hinata, and the same with viktor and yuuri)

these are both sports anime, even tho i am not really sporty, this gave me a will to do such things. It is really challenging. very motivating. and it is really fun to watch both of this anime. I never felt disappointed for watching both of this anime. I expected that it would be a bit boring because I didnt know anything about sports. but heh......seems like i was wrong. these are very great, both of this anime isnt a waste of time, you should watch it :) Its Fun.

Its a sport anime that exaggerates the sport battles the difference is that Yuri on Ice! is more romantic than Haikyuu.
