This Movie touch on a lot of relevant subjects with a different perspective than many other with the same type of message. It might feel a bit long sometimes and drags on, but it were no big issue for me.
Like Garden of words (Kotono no Niwa) it is about a generally common subject, but both has likeable characters with their understanable way of dealing with trouble. Although they do not have similar artstyle, they still have similar way of pushing a subject out.

Both of these movies are absolute emotional rollercoasters. They are both aesthetically beautiful and have great stories. Kotonoha no Niwa is a very short watch, but still is able to deliver a very simple yet emotionally filled story. Koe no Katachi speaks for itself, and on my personal list is the only 10/10 I have ever given out. If you have dealt with any mental illness or bullying I advise you watch while you are in a safe environment. It was a life changing experience for me and one of the few Moives/Anime that have ever made me cry like a baby. I recommend both

Both the anime heavily focus on drama expect and they are very similar in term of there execution of story both the anime have happy ending yet it will make you cry......
Is it possible for there to be love and mutual interest between people of different generations? Kotonoha no Niwa is there to prove it in the simplest way possible, and with the right precautions - which is important. The ending is well resolved and beautiful (watch the post-credits scene).
