Plastic Memories is similar to Hal in it's human/android relationship. Androids usually are in place of a loved one. Both shows are focused on romance and deal with death/the loss of a person. Plastic Memories is more of a romance story versus Hal is a drama/romance.

"Hal" and "Plastic Memories" share the common themes of loss and dealing with loss. They both showcase how a society with life-like androids with artificial intelligence capable of everything human can help people from individuals who need company and to those who require even more assistance in life.
In additional, the lead characters of these two works are constantly together due to the job of the robot and attachment between them quickly grow as they get to know one another better.
Hal and Plastic Memories:
* Both set in a future where androids perform tasks to help humans. Among its main functions is to protect them, which can sometimes have a human form, similar to a family, making it company, sharing as part of their family.
* A human and an android are known, after one of them, has had sad experiences, which needs the company of other to move forward.
* Both show us that robots can feel, even like humans.

Romance between human and android. The storyline is good and it set in the future. Emotional anime and tearjerker. The drama is great for drama lovers as well as romance lovers.
