An odd recommendation, true, but I'm making this one purely on the basis that these 2 shows are the ultimate proof that, in the right places, 3D-CGI can make possible some of the most awesome action anime has to offer. If you aren't convinced that 3D animation has legitimate merit, then with any luck you'll find that these shows will put your unwarranted distaste for it to rest.
Both are also pretty funny, with the key difference being that Ginga Kikoutai Majestic Prince doesn't seem to be like that on purpose. Etotama's packed with anarchic scenarios and larger-than-life characters that make it a laugh-a-minute series, while
