Rebels fighting against a powerful, corrupt government. Fast-paced plot, jam-packed with entertainment. Both are extremely unpredictable; you never really know where the plot decides to go next.

These anime share the same premise of taking down a corrupt empire with a group of rebels. Plus, they have an obsession of killing off characters. There are also a lot of action scenes in the two series.

Both anime's plot is rebellion against an empire Both anime have "mecha" ( well not really mecha in Akame Ga kill but kind of mecha)

their base story is similar and both have a lot of tragedy that makes you cry

The two worlds have similar tragedies BUT they're different enough to keep the stories separate AND interesting. The action scenes are incredible!! Well-suited characters follow a well-planned story. The element that makes Code Geass better than AgK is the setting: the real-world. Evidently, I find interpretations of our future much more interesting than a fictional world and I'm sure you will too. I HIGHLY recommend Code Geass if you're looking for a similar, but much better, show to AgK.

They are both dark fantasy animes, where the main character seems to grow. They are both about a form of revolution where one will kill any needed to help grow their nation.

Both protagonists strive to fight for the greater good. Plots are similar because both protags fight against an opposing army. In Akame Ga Kill, Tatsumi allies with Night Raid in order to defeat the capital for the sake of his village. Meanwhile, Lelouch seeks to defeat the Britannian army in order for his sister and his loved ones to be at peace. Both are pretty good series.

why ? because akame group didnt like the new empire same like code geass he also didnt like the britannia because they take it all from citizens not make they happy but only disaster and didnt make a peacefull place

When an overpowering superpower takes total control, people create feelings in them for a change. Being true with Code Geass and Akame Ga Kill, their protagonists wish to change the current social structure of the world due to abuse of power coming from those in the rule. Code Geass uses Zero (Lelouch) and the Black Knights for this to become a reality, whereas AGK has Tatsumi join the assassins group known as the Night Raid. Both are good action-filled anime on people coming together forming rebellions to take down an empire. Coup d'état!

An awesome group of vigilante fighting back against a corrupt "empire".

Both involve politics and how you would tackle a corrupt society, by rebellion or other means. Code Geass is definitely more in-depth and fleshed out, whereas Akama ga kill is the shallower version more simplistic version. I prefer the akame ga kill fight scenes, code geass fight style is more mecha

-Both animals hold the same theme that an oppressive government is driving the empire to chaos and a group of rebels take on the task of relieving the empire and bring peace. - Both of the series fall into dark fantasy animes, where the main character seems to grow. - These series showed a tendency towards killing off characters at any point. Simply, anyone can die, no matter who it is. - Both anime have some sort of powerful weapons like mechas in Code Geass and legendary weapons powered with magic extracted from demonic beasts
