The guy in one anime is very comfortable being around the girl, while in the other anime the guy isn't getting enough space from the girl.
One anime has comedy as it extra genre, while the other has action and magic as its extra genre.
Both have the same school and romance genre, also, it involves girl coming into guy's life in order to protect him. The difference, the girl in one anime was such a nuisance that the guy has to fend her off, while in another anime the guy is a wuss and has to depend deeply on the girl.
Both have the same plot where girl protects boy from evil forces, both also have the same school and romance genre, except in Haiyore Nyaruko-san is a pesky girl coming into boy's life and turns his world upside down, while in Witch Craft Works involves girl who takes his job of protecting the boy seriously.
