From the same creators as Death Note, Bakuman will certainly not dissapoint you. There are some small similarities in the story, as it's all about reaching your goals, and there is also a lot of rivalry between the characters. If you have an interest in maybe slightly autistic characters (as far as I know it was never really confirmed), Eiji Nizuma from Bakuman makes me think of L from Death Note.

Same authors, and the one of main characters is similar to one main character of Death Note in terms of appearance, intelligence and determination. Both have interesting stories - both have a goal they want to achieve. Death note is a thriller, Bakuman has a story closer to reality.
Both are from the same authors. Both main characters have a similar way of thinking, and determination. Both have little action but great plot. The atmosphere is different since Death Note is more dark and concentrates on mystery, and Bakuman is more light and kinda concentrates in slice of life.
Both series are created by the same author (in original manga form). Although they aren't the same genre the main characters are both very good developed. Both main characters want to achieve their goal although the goals themselves are totally different. The way they handel the situation they come in is very similar, they treat them with pure logic. If you like main characters who are total geniuses and would do anythhing in order to achieve their goals, than these series are for you!

If you've seen either one of them, and not the other, then this other is a must. They're absolutely different: from plot to soundtrack. The one thing they have in common is the fact that this two series are animations of the two and only colaborations (this far) by authors Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. They are from the same writers, that is why they are written in kinda the same style. Okay Bakuman isn't as dark and psychological as death note, so if that is what you've been searching for then you're at the wrong recommendation. However a lot of elements are similar to Death Note.

Bakuman and Death Note overall aren't that similar but as they share the same creators there are some small similarities to note.
First in terms of story both anime showcase a teens struggle while emphasising their dedication and wiliness as they make attempt and strive to accomplish their goal.
Secondly, both anime contain the element of opposition and rivalry as the characters battle against people equal or possibly better then themselves.
Thirdly, both anime share a very similar character called L (Death Note) and Eiji Niizuma (Bakuman). Where L is the introverted counterpart and Eiji is the extroverted counterpart. Both characters are geniuses in their respected field

Both Death note and Bakuman are written by same person and it really does give a death note vibe, it's character development and writing style is very similar to death note. Bakuman is an anime about manga creators.
