While the plots of the two movies are quite different, they have many similarities. Both anime are directed by Osamu Dezaki, so their overall directing style and mood is quite similar. Also, the art and animation are quite similar as well. Apart from the style, the main characters, Duke Togo and Kuroo Hazama are also very similar. They are both professionals who operate in the underground world, and can be hired for a certain fee. Black Jack is like the Golgo 13 of the surgery world. A pro amongst pros. Too cool. Well, he isn't too cool, but they definitely try to make him too cool with a bunch of things like a cape, the way he doesn't answer his phone and how he is a bit of a rogue coz he's unlicensed.
These two titles are similar in the sense that they're both pretty trashy viewing, which I kinda love. Plenty to make fun of in both. Golgo 13 is an actually excellent film whereas Black Jack is okay but fun with a friend.
