Basicly they are both romantic/comedy/drama animes with different background story and their romantic problems but I've found them quite enjoyable in a similar way. Plus another difference is that sakurasou is about teens in high school and in golden time they are at the collage age

The same going for Toradora, both are romatic Anime's and very good at keeping you guessing the final relationship. All three (Toradora, Sakurasou and Golden Time) are prefect for cheering you up after watching an Anime like Clannad or School Days.

Golden Time and Sakurasou bot fit nicely into the field of a slice of life romantic comedy. I greatly enjoyed both shows and picked up Golden Time right after finishing Sakurasou. They're really similar in the sense that both anime have a male protagonist going through school with a new-found group of friends. Their relationships as friends grow as well as a few intimate relationships that begin to emerge. Both anime also have sort of a long lasting plot story that crops up here and there as the series go on. I loved the endings to both and have to say the cute romance aspects   read more

In both of these anime the MC meets a girl with which falls in love with and their meeting is by chance or influenced by someone both sides know. Also the main character has a female cest friend (Sakurasou) or childhood friend (Golden time) that falls in love with them, the female character confesses her feelings to the MC but realises that he (Banri - GT or Kouhai - Sakurasou) doesn't feel the same way towards them and helps the girl he loves get together. Generally both are heavily based on friendship and love, highly recommend watching both of them.

Similarities: -Lovable and honestly crafted characters are a strength of both shows -Both feature a female lead who behaves in a rather unique way. -Both include a love triangle -Both are very upbeat and whimsical -Both blend comedy and deep emotional feeling very, very well -Both are unconventional, brilliant takes on the "coming of age" trope -Both are slice of life anime as it should be told Differences: -the love triangle is front and center in Golden Time, unlike in Sakurasou where it is recurring but often in the background -Golden Time will make you cry more; Sakurasou will make you laugh more -Golden Time has a small supernatural element added into it -Sakurasou is an   read more

Be it college, or high school, the tale of a love story develops in the same fashion throughout most of life regardless of what stage you are at. Such is true for Sakurasou and Golden Time. Stories which take an average Japanese man and give him the eccentric shiny world of his fair lady. Golden Time is a college love story of two strangers who end up having the best life, along with some other absurdities to make the drama an actual drama. Sakurasou is in a similar category with everything other than the fact that it is all set in a high school premise. Both are   read more
