Both anime series cover dark subjects and the psychological effects that come with them. The two series seem to have a similar vibe or feeling to them. Both series contain supernatural elements.
From the New World and Sunday Without God both have a similar feel to them. Although the settings are quite different from each other, they are both interesting worlds that have their respective problems. They both have simultaneous utopian/dystopian elements; they are visually lovely and peaceful, and you could imagine yourself almost being happy there even though you know things really aren't as they should be. Both these shows have a very similar ambiance and a common (though very different) post-apocalyptic setting. They are both beautifully drawn but at the same time required a great deal of the reader in terms of suspending disbelief in a world that is supposed to be theoretically contiguous with our own. From the New World does a much better job of this with a much more coherent story line, but if you enjoyed the experience of either both are likely to hold your attention (particularly since Sunday without God is only 12 episodes).
