Under the same director and animation studio, we are presented with a bored, cynical, and generally unsociable male protagonist who is largely uninvolved with his high school life until his encounter with the eccentric and emphatic female protagonist whose request for help pulls them into an adventure they would never have experienced otherwise. Initially, both protagonists are reluctant to help, but continue to find themselves becoming more and more involved and even attached to the people he made friends with.
NOT A RECOMMENDATION (just a thought)
Every time I think of Amagi/Hyouka I think of Hyouka/Amagi...
Probably because:
1. The main characters look and sound almost the exact same...
2. The MC both have that intelligent badassery
3. Same producers and animators
4. Similar music in certain scenes
5. Romance is not served to you nicely on a platter. It's rather hinted.
6. Everyone needs the MC
There are a lot of differences though...
