Kiznaiver and Penguindrum give their audience a similar "alternative-worldly" experience, and they both include teens/young adults trying to understand why they feel a strange emotion and wanting to save what they love.
With Kiznaiver, the plot surrounds Katsuhira and his seven comrades, whereas in Penguindrum there are the twin brothers Kanba and Shouma and their little sister.
Additionally, there are plushies/people in costumes as background characters, and no one questions why they are running around. The vibes feel very alike, but Kiznaiver is slightly less dark. I would recommend if you enjoyed the series and would like to feel the odd sensation again.
