I also try to recommend ef for everyone, it's my favorite anime of all time, but it's not too popular. No, I never played at visual novel. :( How about you?

Ooh, marketing, huh? Well, if you'll have the chance to shift courses, what would you shift to? Hmm as for me, I'm an engineering student. If it weren't a 5 year course, I'd be able to graduate this march already. *sigh* I can't wait to take a long break from school!

Come to think of it, I've never really given my first anime a thought. And you're right. It does take us back to our childhood. I probably didn't even know that I was watching "anime". I more likely thought that it was some tech-ier cartoon. xD My childhood self makes me laugh, now that you've mentioned it.

OH, sorry for assuming you already work. ( That's because you said something like 'in my 20's" which made me think you're probably around 24 or something. ) I feel you... like totes. I have projects I need to submit before this semester ends and I'm getting nowhere near completion. LOL. May I ask what course are you taking up? If you don't mind, that is.

I see. We're kind of the same. I also started when I was a kid. It was when the TV network began airing anime (dubbed) like.. Inuyasha, Dragon Ball Z, Zenki, Shaman King and many others that you might also know. Currently, I am 20 and I think my first anime should probably be back when I was 6 or 7. xD I only got inclined to watching more of it 3 years ago. :3 Unlike you, when it was over between my ex and I, life gave me all the time I needed to watch anime to help myself move on and get over her. I took the opportunity and I think I kinda went overboard. LOL

I guess you're probably a working person now. Does that get in the way of you, getting to watch more anime? I suggest you stick on watching one at a time. That way you'll get to fully understand each story and not get confused somewhere along the way ~

I watch pretty much anything depending on my mood :). Not a fan of Yaoi.
I've never seen a mecha or a sports anime before, but I still think that I might not be that much into them.
I'm pretty open to any other genre though!

I currently like comedy / romance / slice of life the most, since I think it's pretty relaxing and comforting to watch them after a hard work day.

We're pretty similar, us both haven't watched that much so far, and both not watching that many shows at the same time.
Good thing too know that there are not only people out there that have already completed like 400 anime :D.

Oh~, G-Senjou no Maou is a HUGE suggestion. I rated Kamidori higher, but that's a full blown strategy RPG, and I spent 90 hours on my first playthrough alone.

LOL. It's been a month since I finished my finals. My break is almost over and I'm about to start another semester. ^^; I actually haven't been watching much anime. Not much has interested me lately. This season, I'm watching Sakura Trick, which is my first time watching Yuri. I thought it was kinda cute, but it turned out a lot more perverted than I thought. (I have no idea why I expected yuri anime to be "clean", tbh.) Last season, I watched Little Busters: Refrain. It's based on a VN by the same author as Clannad. (If you didn't already know.) I think you would like this anime, though you (obviously) have to watch the first season first.

Yeah... I flew back to my home in California for this break. I feel very fortunate that I was able to avoid those few days where it was like, -14 °C. :o If you're moving to SF Bay Area, the weather here is very mild, especially in the winter, where it rarely goes below freezing. If not, well... I don't know the weather anywhere else. xD

Ah, damn you. I was going to play the ef visual novels, but I had a bunch of technical issues and dropped it. I've been playing various other VNs lately instead. Kamidori and G-Senjou no Maou were great, though.
