A solid premise with sound and rich world building. The concept is standard but progression is paced satisfyingly. The skill gains are frequent and distinctive enough to feel novelty during each encounter, and the main storyline is well integrated so far.
The most distinguishing merit this anime has going for it is undoubtedly the writing of the main character Fran. The studio absolutely poured their soul out to methodically craft one of the best characters in anime I’ve seen.
Physical appearance wise, you have the initial phase where Fran is shown as a slave, rugged and tattered. The choice of clothing design (tattered brown gown, collars ect)
...
is implemented superbly to convey the helplessness of her situation.
When she receives her adventurer’s gear, it felt perfectly designed for her. All the accessories are visible and distinctive, especially the ear bracelet, a simple yet surprisingly effective accessory design that really enhances her character.
Throughout the episodes, more and more sides of her is slowly revealed to us: the joyous side when she receives thing she can only dream of as a slave, the determined side when presented with a challenge, and the cute reaction side to absolutely anything, all this complimented with outstanding animation.
Did I mention the f-ing animation? I won’t lie to your face and say this has god levels of animation, but all the scenes are done at a professional level…except any scene involving Fran. Somehow, the animation involving Fran transcends god level with movements both fluid and crisp. The amount of effort put into the body language and facial expression brings vibrance into the character. Even the most minute and subtle animation feels lifelike and absolutely compliments her character, a good example of one of my favorites is Fran’s ear twitch whenever she hears anything.
In STARK contrast, the other “MC”: the sword “Teacher”. Both the physical and character design leans towards goofy and casual, which isn’t a problem in and of itself, but for some reason it just doesn’t work in this anime. The sword almost always comes off as annoying or cringe, especially with its failed attempt at being funny.
Ultimately, the aforementioned point is nowhere close to a dealbreaker, and with all the good points mentioned, I can only see the anime getting even better from here. Whilst it is a shame that the sword could have been written in a much better direction whilst still maintaining the casual/goofy persona in order to support Fran’s persona, it would be a even bigger shame to miss out on one of the best shows this season just because of that. Even if nothing else, watching just for Fran and her animations will be undoubtedly worth your time.

An absolute bongcloud of a concept that makes me wonder how much the author was smoking when he thought of this idea.
Unfortunately, the wild concept is all the manga has going for it at the moment.
The manga seems to have issues identifying itself as a relationship/love manga, and a pure comedy skit manga. Some mangas successfully do both, and the others fail at both. This manga belongs to the latter.
The comedy of this manga falls pretty flat despite the wide array of ideas that could be worked with with this concept. The jokes only feel funny if you force it to be funny because of
...
the concept, rather that than the content.
Credits where it’s due, the fact that the concept was actually published without failing catastrophically means the author did a relatively okay job at keeping this concept under control, which is why this isn’t exactly a bad read, albeit a slightly dull one, but if you read the concept and think to yourself “wtf is this? I want to check it out”, then that’s enough of a reason to give this manga (or rather, the concept) a try.

There are a lot of ways Brocon and Siscon is presented in Mangas, but this series has shown that sometimes direct is by far best approach. One of the reasons why this felt so charming to read was that it was clear how much feelings the MCs had for each other. Throughout the Manga, elements are present that constantly remind you: “this is a love story between siblings”, which is what sets this Manga apart from the rest, and showcases a model approach of presenting incest successfully and appealingly, other than the simple taboo factor.
Progression in this Manga goes at an excellent pace (given the,
...
unfortunately short, number of chapters it has), and enough light-hearted/charming moments are filled in between to make progression feel neither rushed nor stale.
A masterclass of the Manga is how it handles the bitter moments. This Manga successfully portrays moments that make you feel uncomfortable, bitter, or angered, but never enough to actually ruin the experience. In fact, these bitter moments are thoughtfully handled in such a way that it uses the small amount of negative emotions it created, and instead of letting it brew into a storm of “why am I reading this when I feel miserable doing so”, it enhances the next sweet/heartwarming scene by being dispelled, creating a contrast that makes the scene extra memorable (eg end of volume 3).
A small pitfall towards my previous point comes near the end of the manga. The ending wasn’t handled as gracefully as can be, since there didn’t feel like there was any special moments that made the ending of the manga too memorable. Even though they had sex, the manga didn’t fully explore the dynamic shift or impact that it had. I’m not saying it must be lewd (it wasn’t), but a better indication than just a single panel of them in bed would be appreciated.
Finally, the artstyle was absolutely phenomenal. The main focus of the Manga is Uta, and the artists did incredible to create a vivid and distinct representation of her. The artstyle struck a balance that perfectly represented the duel identity of Uta: A cute Imouto but also your girlfriend. The outstanding portrayal of Uta is one of the reasons why I will perceptively remember her, despite the fact that her character design does not feature anything glaringly dramatic, and also one of the many reasons I consider this manga a 10/10

An after story showcasing the life of Uta and Ritsu after they have settled. It does well at showcasing the sweet, charming relationship slice of life that was slightly absent near the end of the main manga. However, there wasn’t really any additional content added here at all. There was an implied sex scene, but this already happened in the main series, and this after story didn’t really expand on the impact of them having sex, which begs the question of why include it in the first place? It feels more of a “why not” than anything else (and no it’s not fan service, that
...
wasn’t present).
But due to how phenomenal the main series was, it’s hardly a loss to read this short after story. Not much happened but you can still smile at the interactions between the two MCs.

Let’s start with the first episode. It’s trash. And no, it’s not the “haha it’s the trash anime eromanga-sensei”, it’s actually just trash. The whole episode revolves around elf overcoming her struggles against her mom that appears out of nowhere, and how does she do it? A random song inserted into the episode, which was so bad I actually had to fast forward it.
Hold on, it gets even worse from there. The one redeeming factor of this episode (and honestly the whole show), Sagiri, got done one dirty by this episode. Not only did she barely appear, the scene where she did appear, are either
...
masked Sagiri or her in the formal dress. Frankly, it does not suit her at all. There are a done of outfit that can portray her cuteness, but a formal dress was not it. This episode makes sure to spit in your eye one last time with the final scene which may or may not imply a direct kiss between elf and Masamune, when not even Sagiri has kissed with Masamune yet.
However if you notice my score, you would see a 10. This is because if the first episode gets a 3 (and that 3 is purely from the fact it is an Eromanga Sensei OVA), then the second episode gets a 30. Words cannot describe how good this episode was; it’s completely not an understatement to say this was the best OVA I have ever watched. The episode revolves around Sagiri taking care of an ill Masamune. There isn’t some “grand difficulty” that they need to overcome, but only the details of this cute little plot.
This episode contains every you could ask for. Firstly, Sagiri’s various expressions and reactions. Her cuteness this episode was completely on par, and possibly every surpass that of the main series. This episode also had its fill of meta fourth wall breaking comedy moment that genuinely made me laugh, and realistic heartwarming moments that genuinely made me smile.
And, as much as I support Sagiri (the reason I watch this show), I don’t hate the other side characters at all. This episode shows all the side characters appearing shortly, and the scene they appeared in was actually funny and enjoyable. They portrayed the side character’s charms and personalities, without making them overstay their welcome (*cough first episode cough*).
We end this brilliant episode on a final scene of the OVA(and, as unfortunate as it might be, possibly the final scene for the anime adaptation), where Sagiri kisses Masamune on the cheeks. It is shown directly rather than left vague. Nothing is emphasized in particular during the scene- it wasn’t even a direct shot- but it does nothing to take away how happy you feel for the two of them.
And of course, the S tier OP and ED that we all know and love is back for both episodes.
If you want to understand my review, watch the first episode, but be prepared to later regret it. On the contrast, DEFINITELY watch the second episode. If you think my review hasn’t convinced you, then it’s probably me, not the episode itself. I still feel like what I have written haven’t done the episode justice, and all you need to do is just watch a few minutes of it before becoming hooked and begging into the void for more minutes on the “time remaining”.
I just wish both episodes could have the quality of the second episode, but even just the second episode by itself is sufficient to carry this OVA to a solid 10.

The miniseries is lighthearted and 3 min per episode is the perfect time to take one concept and turn it into a funny and interesting mini episode.
In my opinion, the humor from the mini series actually exceeds that from the main series, and without the problems dragging the main series down (namely, overfocus on the somewhat boring plot), the mini series focused more on having a good plot and showcasing its characters. That being said, I think it might be hard to enjoy this series without watching the main series first. Since you also see some different parts of the character that you don’t
...
normally see, for example, the “transition phase” Rikka from episode 2 was very fun to watch.

This special was actually focused on the romance in which the main show lacked in season 1. If would be much better if every episode in season 1 was like this rather than attempting to cover the main plot. I recommend watching this since this is what I think, the representative episode of what I chose to watch the anime for.
The story doesn’t deviate much from what is expected, but provides a nice backstage for the events to happen. The characters gets a proportionate amount of attention and screen time based on how much enjoyment the bring to the episode.

The FMC Rikka is the main carry of the show and her character design is what gave this show it’s colors. The MMC Yuuta is interesting enough with a background, but his current personality leans a little to the generic side, but nonetheless still very enjoyable.
The side characters are unique and memorable, but doesn’t feel like they bring much enjoyment to the show. However, the show doesn’t make the mistake of overfocusing on the side characters, so it doesn’t cause much issue.
The plot is not that interesting, but the show puts too much emphasis on the plot during the later half, which created its
...
biggest flaw:
The actual romance started way too late into the show (I don’t mean confession, but any romantic development). Once it started, the development was rushed and then halted abruptly by the shows “main plot.” The show ends as soon as the main storyline is resolved, leaving almost no screen time for actual romance. But for what it’s worth, the scenes that did portray romance was done brilliantly and fully brings out the charm in Rikka, and that alone is enough to warrant a 8/10.

Story 5/10:
This is conflicting…the “main” storyline that was set up at chapter 1 was absolutely amazing, and had the potential to be one of the first 10/10 stories I give. And then… it got abandoned for the rest of the entire manga, with a sprinkle of dick tease here and there just to rub it in your face.
The majority of the story about the idol industry is honestly boring as hell, and if it weren’t for the first few chapters of brilliant setup, I would have dropped it in a flash. That said, I did speedread most of the chapters due to how uninteresting it
...
was.
Art 7/10:
The art for Ai’s family were amazing, especially Ai. The way she is drawn, you can really emphasis with her fans feel why she was loved so much. Her cheerfulness and energy was fully showcased by the art. The siblings reminded me of Kagamine Rin and Len, so they were enjoyable in that respect. The other characters didn’t have any art that particularly caught the eye, but was good enough that the impressions left is: good.
Characters 6/10:
The only real point Aqua and Ruby got any development was when advancing the main plot, and during the idol parts, all their development feels fake and unappealing. The minor characters got tons of development during idol parts, but they are really not enticing enough for me to cheer them on and be engaged by their characters.
Enjoyment 5/10:
The manga had my absolutely hooked at the first part, then bored me to death whilst I held onto the faint hope that enjoyment will come back, and to the current latest chapter, no it has not. Idol mangas really aren’t enjoyable and any drama, training, or production feels unenjoyable to read. The characters make it slightly more bearable but this is defiantly not a manga I would recommend until maybe it is fully finished.

Story 8/10:
The story is pretty expected of an Isekai, the story isn’t the main focus on the manga and more of a backstage for the characters to shine, which in that respect it has done really well. Also, dadcon genres in an Isekai setting is rare to come by, and this one executed it pretty much flawlessly.
Art 9/10:
Great artwork and especially impressive that it remained consistently good for all 3 phases of all 3 daughters (child, teenager, adult). It was able to showcase the character’s emotions very well and bring out their charms.
Characters 10/10:
Definitely the highlight of this manga. All three daughters have distinct
...
and likable personality. They all feel uniquely charming in physical appearance and personal quicks. The design of the Dad is also very well done by preserving his looks, rather than an old man design (which, in honestly would be, more realistic than literally no change in like 20 years), which would made have massively dock the points from characters and enjoyment.
Enjoyment and Overall:
I believe that how good a manga is should entirely be based on enjoyment. It is one of rarer genres out there, and it has been polished to be extremely enjoyable throughout the entire read. The genre, by itself, is already a huge plus in enjoyment, and the execution was performed well enough to earn it a 10. Only shame that the manga is very short and update seems to be at a snails crawl.
