Yep, exactly. Do you know about Detroit House music? It originally tried to capture the soul and emotions of the house music that took place in Chicago etc, but they never really succeeded. Instead the music sounded more cold, impersonal and almost sinister, but it still had some semblance of soul in it. That's how techno was born! I like using that as an example, because it accurately explains how I feel.

Yeah, I guess you could say that. I think that technology and machines have their own kind of beauty, especially when humans manipulate them to do things like music. Machines don't have feelings, but the music they produce can still be soulful, you know? It's kinda hard to explain, lol.

depends on the hack and slash personally...like Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors...yeah after playing one of them odds are you never really need the story again but as far as licensed stuff goes the story is nice lol....otherwise yeah generally agree that hack and slash you could get by lol.yeah ><......and exactly ^^ lol...otherwise gameplay wise rpg's lose a hell of a lot of their charm and thats not okay ><...but thats great you will be able to borrow it ^^...hopefully for long enough though...oh just be weary...in P1 it is very easy to get bad short ends as opposed to fully completing the story(i've only completed it a bad end ><....) but hopefully you enjoy it ^^.also in my opinion Persona battle music is nice atleast have a decent song in my opinion you will be hearing a lot(out of the Persona games imo Persona 2's are the weakest battle theme wise).

slightly but then Luffy also has the reckless thing going for him and not really thinking things through...thats not to say i don't like Luffy but idk....i wont say it...but you will be tested on how much you like Luffy later on lol.i see you like the contrast aspect...i like the straight man sorta roles which is why i like Nami and since a pretty parallel example Lucy in Fairy Tail lol.but i can see some slight similarities between Robin and Luffy i guess....more so back when though lol....yeah the arc that made me really,really fall in love with One Piece is a huge arc for Robin with lots of development all around lol.lol the Ussop improvement isn't big and there is a good chance you will possibly hate him for awhile even before he improves lol.

Yep, that's exactly how I feel as well. Forums become a lot better (perhaps nice even) when you've gotten used to them, and acquainted yourself with their community. I hope you'll find MAL interesting, too. : P
Lol, I know right? Understandable. I personally find certain kinds of extreme music a bit intriguing, but it all depends on what it is. For example, I think that some forms of hardcore electronic music is interesting, or perhaps even a bit catchy. Stuff like uber-black technical death metal definitely becomes draining fast, lol. >.<
Ah, I see. I guess it's not all bad to see past such things, lol. Things often get way too pretentious and elitist once you start caring about stuff like genres, artist, etc, way more than necessary. That's a curse with all entertainment media, though.

The good thing about the MAL community is that it's very diverse, so you'll always find chill people... after digging through tons of dirt, that is. I just hang out in Casual Discussion, the true cesspool of the forums.
I know that this is a stupid answer, but I listen to pretty much everything. Music is too diverse and intriguing for me not to explore all its corners and depths, so I rarely tie myself down a few genres only. Music is one of my passions, so I love digging through all types of genres through all decades. Regardless, there are a few genres in general that I'm really fond of, though. I'm a big fan of anything electronic, but I'll save the genres because I don't know how familiar you are with them. I like jazz, classical, folky stuff (not exclusively tied to the hipster kind), hip-hop, alternative/classic/prog rock, grunge, punk rock, post-rock, and some metal. I tend to forget genres whenever I attempt to list them, so I always feel kinda bad, haha. Hope this wasn't too much. >.<

yeah ><....my only worry will be not being to fully follow the sequels(yeah...P1's PS1 translation/localization may mess up some stuff but unsure lol.....) and lolz ><...yeah the story is super mega important for rpg's lol....hack and slash i guess you could probably get by...fighting games are generally the same unless its some higher up fighting game then the typical ones...like the Nanoha games i imported and well can imagine the Persona fighting games to be on the same level as the rpgs lol(yeah...for a fighting game the Persona fighters have one of the longest story modes lol)

getting more regular...kinda covered that above but this will help even more with that i imagine as i said lol.thats great about being able to make plans and then being able to do them confusing part of MAL..pretty sure i covered this as the start of the here conversing so...lol.so not to many manga for you either huh? but i fully agree with you ^^...the written word with still pictures just can't compete with colors,movement,voices,bgm and all that other good stuff ^^...kinda why i'm like half and half with VN's since they kinda meet halfway between the 2 worlds lol.oooh Skypiea ^^,getting closer to when i totally fell in love with One Piece and became my #1 of the big 3(Naruto,Bleach and One Piece..just in case)...the Enies Lobby arc lol and Zoro eh? kinda always preferred Sanji over him myself but as far as the Straw Hat's go its generally Nami for me lol.thats more so learning with anime not really the game though....so the game is gonna have a lot dialogue where you are just like "uhhhh......." and have no idea whats going on lol...i mean i get you will learn basic stuff and such but the likes of Persona and such aren't like Jump series and such...the dialogue is on a a more mature level with stuff not as often heard to really make heads of tails of it ><....indeed the screen size doesn't matter lol...well i think it depends...in the case of say Persona 1...i'd rather have the superior translation on the PSP model then to have a maybe bigger screen on the inferior PS1 model lol.^^,just like me with the video games indeed lol.lolz that stuff is so painfully outdated...i was gonna update everything in all the spoiler tags as soon as i finished up starting spring anime...still not quite there yet...close but not quite lol.

thats fine ^^ considering i'll be gaming all month odds are i myself won't even be on much this month till perhaps near the end lol.thanks ^^ and i really hope so also ^^ and thats good you got out of bed ^^ and walking huh?...i started doing a bit of exercise myself but i'm quite out of shape...exercise has never been my thing so my stamina is crap lol...so only doing about 30 second jogging stints through the day at the moment to get my body more used to it first lol.as far as CR goes i'll be throwing in my replies from here so you may have to cross reference this time lol.
getting more regular...kinda covered that above but this will help even more with that i imagine as i said lol.thats great about being able to make plans and then being able to do them confusing part of MAL..pretty sure i covered this as the start of the here conversing so...lol.so not to many manga for you either huh? but i fully agree with you ^^...the written word with still pictures just can't compete with colors,movement,voices,bgm and all that other good stuff ^^...kinda why i'm like half and half with VN's since they kinda meet halfway between the 2 worlds lol.oooh Skypiea ^^,getting closer to when i totally fell in love with One Piece and became my #1 of the big 3(Naruto,Bleach and One Piece..just in case)...the Enies Lobby arc lol and Zoro eh? kinda always preferred Sanji over him myself but as far as the Straw Hat's go its generally Nami for me lol.thats more so learning with anime not really the game though....so the game is gonna have a lot dialogue where you are just like "uhhhh......." and have no idea whats going on lol...i mean i get you will learn basic stuff and such but the likes of Persona and such aren't like Jump series and such...the dialogue is on a a more mature level with stuff not as often heard to really make heads of tails of it ><....indeed the screen size doesn't matter lol...well i think it depends...in the case of say Persona 1...i'd rather have the superior translation on the PSP model then to have a maybe bigger screen on the inferior PS1 model lol.^^,just like me with the video games indeed lol.lolz that stuff is so painfully outdated...i was gonna update everything in all the spoiler tags as soon as i finished up starting spring anime...still not quite there yet...close but not quite lol.
