I try to find a balance when scoring between personal enjoyment and how I objectively view the show.

I do watch OVAs, but don't add them to the list.

I can't score titles that I've seen years ago and are not relatively fresh in my memory, which is why there are a bunch of unscored shows in my list.

I tend not to go into a show blindly, and instead will only start a show if there's a high chance I will like it. I'll also drop shows if I don't think I will enjoy them.

Lastly, I consider both manga and anime to be interchangeable to an extent. I rarely pick up a completed show if I have read the manga (notably FMA, Nodame), and vice versa, though I will pick up the manga if the anime has not fully covered it.
