Chika is just Chika, the chaotic and sometimes brutal peacekeeper.
Oh yeah Hina, that one girl who went boom boom in that one car scene. There is a pretty funny video on Tokyo Revengers and I'd recommend watching it if you wanna have a laugh
Chika ended up being my favorite character purely because I am a sucker for those energetic and outgoing characters though her brutality and honesty are also really nice while Ishigami is someone I relate to though I haven’t been in his former situation personally.
Kisaki is just lame, I don’t care about him whatsoever. Yeah his manipulation and all is cheeky and pretty smart but I just don’t care about him or anyone really besides that one girl.
Love is War is a romcom done right and does not need to rely on tropes to be funny, rather it makes the cast genuinely hilarious through absurd and over-the-top interactions and dialogue yet throughout those things, you can always tell their true genuine feelings underneath. It ties itself to both realms well with the romcom funny and wholesome aspects and narrative gimmicks such as establishing depth and further characterization on a cast that is already lovable from the start, such as Kaguya and her family status and how it made her an outcast and ended up making her distant and cold or Ishigami and his trauma back in Junior high and how it affected his ability to express himself and his emotions. It’s within Season 2 where Love is War is at its best whereas Ultra Romantic has a great and satisfying ending albeit there’s the movie. It’s here that these students, the characters we’ve come to love, that they are human. We’re reminded, that these characters are grounded to earth and are not your typical romcom characters.
That’s all his character is and I don’t mean to dish out to you since I know you like Tokyo Revengers and all, this is just my personal opinion and interpretation on Tokyo Revengers and Takemichi as a whole. I don’t mind characters who start off as weak or whiny or full of cowardice because that can set up a template for them to massively grow and develop to such far lengths but what I hate are one-dimensional characters who hardly change and stay the same despite everything they go through.
Not really, it’s part of how I watch things. Yeah there are times where I watch something, despise it for whatever reason albeit mostly a narrative reason, and complain as a way to cope but I just push through to the end at the tunnel. You can probably name some anime and I’ll probably have some kind of analysis on it.
Exactly, he has the development of a rock that gained the ability to be sentient. He doesn’t learn from his mistakes nor does he develop in a natural way according to his circumstances. Obviously time travel is a rocky thing to work with given the nature of it but actions have to carry weight and characters have to develop as the events around them should change their character and who they represent. Takemichi, just does none of that.
He’s just a big whiny baby who can’t do much as even throw a punch before either whining his butt off or crying all dramatically as a means of getting the audience to sympathize with him. And yeah, strong is a rather accurate word for my opinions.
It gets crazier when you realize that I have dedicated thousands of hours into anime and manga, hundreds of hours into analysis and discussion, and not once have I dropped anything in the face of pure pain and torture. Haikyuu is an interesting one, why's that?
Tokyo Revengers sucks butt, the amount of plot holes and repetitiveness of the conflicts is just aggravating plus Takemichi is so irritating and poorly thought out as a character.
No. I just force myself to finish it even if I hate it. That’s why the number of low rated shows continue to rise and why there is a big zero on “Dropped”. I do believe that it is a good thing to watch shows of all sizes and whatnot, the good the bad and the in-between, in order to really appreciate the medium as a whole.
I have premium and ad-blockers so pop-ups are not a problem anymore.
Pretty much, I essentially finish everything I watch and do not drop whatsoever even at the cost of myself. It gets... rather tough at times, especially with seasonals I don't like.
Uhhhh... noo?
Oh that. Just think of it as me enjoying uncomfortable levels of pain, one of which being to never drop anything. Not that kind of masochism though.
No it's a good trailer, we just haven't had the time to actually go and watch it haha. Rachel?
Have fun with it! I can't really remember what other horror movies I've watched so oh well.
Have you watched it? I was going to with my dad but we never talked about it again ever since I brought up the trailer lol
Precisely, you can get adjusted and eventually notice how predictable jumpscares can be with time and experience. With psychological horror, there is none of that. You can not tell when you are safe or when you are not and a good blend of both psychological and physical horror is a movie called “The Thing”.
It was… fine I suppose. It was no different from the other Conjuring movies besides the fact that the culprit is different. It really wasn’t scary.
I strongly recommend psychological horror in general and this is just my personal opinion but I firmly believe psychological horror is what horror should be rather than an external threat. Psychological horror messes with your head and slowly creeps up on you to invade your space of security and safety while a lot of others such as slashers, demons, supernatural and whatnot often rely on your human and survival instincts to have a reaction to it i.e. jumpscares and there are some good ones out there but those are harder to find.
Nah, it’s the third Conjuring movie dubbed ‘The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It”. The Nun was released six years ago, and Annabelle is honestly more funny than scary at least in my eyes.
Have you watched the Conjuring universe? I watched the most recent Conjuring movie and had the biggest blank stare in my face the whole time at like 3 in the morning.
I don't know what website you used but here's the link for Chihayafuru and its manga.
Chihayafuru - Anime
Chihayafuru - Manga
….That explains it. That is way too much tea but then again, Britain.
Chihayafuru’s original source is a manga.
......Did you use a recipe or some kind of online tutorial? I mean you can try making Vietnamese coffee at home, go ahead if you want to haha. Wha, 20?
Fair enough, it can be a bit daunting for you or at least I imagine it can given the length and the amount of attention to detail and depth it has gone so far in just the first season alone.
