I read your SAO review, very short compared to most but you do bring up an interesting point about the pacing of the first half compared to the second. I also had the same issue with the time skips, they could've abandoned the Alfheim Online arc and explored more of SAO.
I disagree about the love between Asuna and Kirito though, it seemed forced and a little childish to me. This may have been the product of the pacing, rushed everything, although there were some nonsensical damsel in distress episodes for Kirito to save the day.
