it seems whenever i use the forum to get suggestions (especially for the romance genre) most of the time people tend to ignore your specific requests and give the same recommendations over and over again..
A little more on H&C....the setting is a Arts college so the age range is what you were asking for. While the romance side is a major theme i would say one of the biggest subthemes and one of the reasons i liked the series so much is self exploration and coming of age especially for the main character takemoto, yuuta
anyway i wont say too much else but if you do decide to watch it comment back and let me know how you like it or dislike it (although i hope the latter isnt the case lol)

it meets your requested criteria pretty accurately. Im 21 going on 22 and i can agree with a lot of points you brought up about most romance genre anime
if you want to know a little more about the series lmk, ill gladly give you a little synopsis but trust me as a random stranger who has never before talked to you in your life Honey and Clover is a pretty awesome show
