How is everything man? Everything is good my end! I'm settling into Japanese life well, and my job is great! If you're still considering coming to Japan, definitely consider the JET Programme. And if you do let me know as I can give you tips on the application process etc. Now is the best time to apply as the government is looking to increase the number of JETs!
How is your anime intake? I took a shit load of anime to Japan with me and just finished watching Berserk. Its so good!

Hey man, long time no speak. You're really getting through alot of anime recently! I've been watching alot lately, really enjoy anime movies atm

Texhnolyze ticked all the boxes for me, it was dark, at times it was depressing, very mature, made you think. I can see why people would prefer lain since it is, overall, probably a way more cohesive story. Paranoia agent is excellent, I remember when I first got it, I really hyped it up but it actually lived up to the hype. Gilgamesh is cool but sometimes too slow for some people, again a very dark series. Planetes is slightly different to what I normally like, I feel like I could relate it to real life a little bit more than most anime. It's pretty much a story of one guy, in a dead end job, eventually going for his dream job but obviously in a sci-fi setting. It's a feel good series.

Yeah, I was lacking in my manga but I've started reading it heavily, ATM, I feel like I've almost ran out of anime series so I've turned to manga a lot more these days. Also check out ichi the killer, which is quite graphic but it's a lot of fun.

I've been meaning to go to London because I always figure it's the place to go for everything. I'd like to go on what I'd call an 'alternative' shopping trip, pretty much going to music shops, comic shops & generally any 'out there' shops that would interest me. Can you recommend anywhere?

I enjoy mcm but it's quite pricey and much rare stuff. Yeah cosplay is always fun.

We might start to see an influx of zombie anime after high school of the dead but there's nothing good out there that I've seen. Manga-wise, 'I am hero' is quite a good zombie series. Always on the look out for zombie movies, I think I've pretty much seen all the good ones. The original Dawn of the dead is my favourite. I also quite enjoy the recent 'the dead' movie set in Africa.

I'm glad that you enjoyed monster, it's one of the best series out there. I'd definitely suggest texhnolyze, that's one of my favourites. Also try paranoia agent, planetes & Gilgamesh. My guilty pleasure is gundam.

If you like manga, try no longer human, I am hero, Eden: it's an endless world, shigurui & homunculus. And attack on Titan, for a mature shounen title.

There's not much of a scene in Swindon, I know a few casual fans but prob no one as crazy as me about it. To be fair, any other big fans tend to be girls that are into shojo. I've been a few times to the expo but am not going this week, though I'd like to. Where do you live?

I saw you were watching Monster so I thought I'd start it. I watched 5 episodes of it in one sitting! Loving it so far.

Hah yeah I really am blasting through them. I've recently watched a load of the Dragonbal Z movies aswell which upped it abit. If i'm at home I tend to watch alot. I don't really play video games anymore (apart from my 3DS) so Anime is my release!

BTW Golden Boy is awesome! Really wish it was longer than 6 episodes though
