At the darkest hours of my life, animes like Minami-Ke, Zetsubou Sensei and K-on! kept me sane. I still am a huge Bleach (before Juha Bach) and Naruto (I've never bothered with Boruto, not hating, but I think I am done with it).
My current ones are One punch, Attack on Titan (which is just weird how its not really finishing). I loved the first season of Sword Art Online, and some of the other RPG related animes out there. I think all in all, I have watched and completed over a hundred anime series. I mean, I've even seen colorful. Not a big dragonball fan, I should have watched it when I was younger. It's hard to enjoy it now since the current level of animation is really high.
High school of the dead, was fanstastic to me. I understand the nuances of Ecchi animes, I am a guy after all and I enjoyed them a lot. Animes like Vandread, although Ecchi, does say a lot and tackle a lot on men and women. Even life and death.
That is the true beauty of anime, somewhere in each of them, lie a message of wisdom. Which I believe can be taken to improve oneself.
