I learned how to make sausage rolls this morning, It was pretty good.

I will definitely consider it when I am looking for something longer than a season.

What is your profession?
For some reason I thought you were in Uni.

Yeah and that made it even weirder that he was taken down with such a simple mistake.

Have you ever seen Mad Bull 34?
It certainly isn't for everyone but I will mention it anyway.
The rating on here for it is atrocious and rightfully so but I have never seen a better example of so bad it's good in anime.
It has sex, over the top violence, a ridiculously crazy interpretation of America, silly plots and a British voice voice cast pretending to be American that slowly becomes more British over the course of the 4 episodes.
If any of that sounds vaguely interesting I would highly recommend the English dub.

Yeah, I always wanted to get into the pastry side of baking as before I used to be predominantly a bread baker at bakers delight, but moving to a small family owned bakery I get to dabble in everything.
I share your love of food. :)

Hopefully it won't have the drop off and it will just get better with time.
Isn't homework fun, I love when it gets in the way of things I enjoy. :P

I agree, it almost felt like they artificially lengthened the anime/manga based on it's popularity.
I did like the show just less so at the end.

What was your homework?
theshanesaw Nov 11, 2017 3:54 PM
Yeah, it is gonna take some adjusting but I really enjoy baking so it's worth it.
I am predominantly baking pastries like Pies, Pasties and various other things like vanilla slices and things like that although there is also some bread and rolls.

It's good that the second season is also good, I hate getting into a series only to have future seasons drop in quality.

I really enjoyed Death Note and was really surprised to hear in the final episode that the shows timeline spanned 6 years, I thought it was like a year tops. :P
I can see why it is so well liked although while still very good I think it took a slight downturn when L died.
What did you think of it?
theshanesaw Nov 11, 2017 4:44 AM
My first day was Friday, I start at 2:30 each morning,I didn't work today and don't tomorrow but I work again on Monday.
It is a baking job, I used to be a baker but I am only now getting back into it.

I take it you will be continuing the series?

I watched the Devil is a Part-Timer last night and this morning and finished off death note with my mate tonight.
Inbetween I watched the latest ep of Inuyashiki and the first 10 eps of New Game!
theshanesaw Nov 8, 2017 10:02 PM
Yeah it was different than I imagined but I am still finding it to be good so I am gonna watch all 4 seasons.

I have Bungo Stray Dogs on my PTW list, it sounds really interesting and if it is good then I don't mind if it is predictable.

I just got a new job and I am telling everyone who will listen. Hooray. ヽ(^Д^)ノ

I agree, I thought that the whole sow was going to revolve around Celty when I read the synopsis but it has a rather large cast of interesting characters.
I finished season 2 last night and will begin season 3 soon.

Are you watching much at the moment?
theshanesaw Nov 7, 2017 10:45 PM
Sorry for the confusion I meant the subs weren't finished for Kinnikuman.

I do like the overpowered trope myself for some reason, it is just fun to watch someone go berserk I suppose.
Shinra is very funny to watch when he interacts with Celty, I didn't initially think she would actually like him back but the show surprised me.
theshanesaw Nov 7, 2017 12:48 PM
Shizuo and Shinra are both very funny characters, especially Shinra when Celty is around.
Season 2 is not too bad I have seen 7 eps so far, The Russian assassin lady is also an interesting character.
Sadly the group doing the subs has a lot of other shows on their plate so it is very slow going. :(

I still like TWD I just got sidetracked and stopped watching about 2 seasons ago, I read the comics pretty heavily as well so I liked seeing what they kept the same and where they diverged a bit.
I have never been much of a super hero guy, not because they are bad or because I dislike them I just have no real opinion either way about them.

Yeah it sounds like fun I like DBZ and parody so I think I will like it based on what I have heard.

Yeah my issues with the show was the way they tell you the story in such a round about way, they could have cut the first season in half and just been more direct with the story, that being said I did enjoy the story itself as well as the characters.
Anri, Celty and Simon are my favorites. (What the hell is Russian sushi anyway? haha)
Did you have any particular favorites?

I understand, if you ain't feeling it then no amount of recommendation or explanation will change that, as a wrestler I love most things to do with wrestling so it is one of my favorites, I just hope one day it will finish getting subbed.
theshanesaw Nov 7, 2017 1:09 AM
I agree totally, If I don't like the characters then I tend to have trouble staying invested in the show.
There are a few western shows that I am struggling to get back into even though I want to, like Walking Dead.

I will have to finally get around to watching it sometime soon.

I can handle things with very little forward moving plot, it allows me to drop in and out of the show without feeling the need to watch it all in one run, so I will still check it out.

I liked Durarara!! despite a slow start and I am 4 eps into the 2nd season, it seems to be going OK so far.

I can understand your aversion to the Kinnikuman aesthetic, it is very old school and loose for lack of a better term, certainly not for everyone.
theshanesaw Nov 6, 2017 11:02 PM
Longer story driven shows are my favorite to binge as opposed to shows that have less of an overarching plot which I am happy to watch weekly, as I have so much on my to watch list I usually just watch from it while I wait and that applies to non anime as well.

Hakusho is one that I have been wanting to go back and check out since I saw a bit of it on toonami back in the day I just haven't gotten around to it yet but it's been on my mind a bit lately so maybe soon.

Gintama is another one that is near the top of my to watch list based off what I have read and been told by others it sounds good.

I just finished watching Made in Abyss last night and I thought it was excellent, now I am just going back and forwards between Durarara!! season 2 and Kinnikuman, unfortunately Kinnikuman is only subbed up to ep 70 of 137 and they come out very slowly so I will be gutted when I hit that mark as I love the show. :(
theshanesaw Nov 6, 2017 7:57 AM
Yeah I like to binge watch myself so the more there is the longer I can keep it going, I am actually planning to watch the next few eps of Super untill the current arc ends and then letting a bunch build up and watch them in one go.

I watched a bit of Digimon and Card Captor Sakura growing up, I would like to go back and watch through Card Captor again as I remember it being pretty good.
I haven't seen Inuyasha or Ranma 1/2 but my friend tried to get me into Naruto but I just couldn't get into it for some reason.

Yeah I wanna see more about the world and why it is the way it is, hopefully it will be explained a bit more.
theshanesaw Nov 6, 2017 5:39 AM
No problem, I am always looking for new friends. :)
It is probably for the best if you wait to get into Super as there are still over 60 eps yet to be dubbed so if you wait it will just mean you can watch them at your own pace and not have to wait for them to be released or watch subs.

I still go back and watch a bit of Dragon Ball/Z from time to time, it and Pokemon were my gateway anime, even though I saw Samurai Pizza Cats and Sailor moon before them they didn't have as strong of an impact on me.

Hopefully it will circumvent that trope and have her develop into a strong character in her own right, have you seen the 3 OVAs?
theshanesaw Nov 5, 2017 8:45 PM
Thank you for accepting my friend request, How are you?

How are you liking Dragon Ball Super and Mahoutsukai no Yome?
being a huge DB/Z fan Super was what reinvigorated my interest in anime, I am really liking it but it is a rare case of dub only just because I grew up with the dub and have grown to like it in English, most other stuff I just watch the subs.
Mahoutsukai is really good so far but I haven't seen the latest ep yet.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
