Personally I loved that show, but it gets sad at times, and a large amount of several episodes is a musical competition. The plot doesn't move along the fastest, but I think its really good as a whole.
Your Lie in April was really good, lots of music also. Watching Golden Time, which is kind of rom-com but has good drama too. Chuunibyou was really good, but also a rom-com with drama. By drama, do you mean shows that are sad or just emotional?
