I like slice of shows. It's what I watch quite often. But this is the first one that I've watched where I was really bored. The show repeats the same formula for every episode. They go fishing, there's some tidbits about fishing technique and equipment. I have no problems with that. Problem is that the characters seem to not vary their reactions much than just be the token bubbly/reserved/sarcastic characters that I've seen quite often. And everyone else outside of Koharu, Hiyori, and Koi are just one-dimensional. I was hoping the show would add something more on top of Hiyori's loss to add more depth...

But ... it doesn't.

It had some good touching moments here and there.

But not enough to break the monotony that made the show drag on and made me wish it would be over already...

This show was originally going to be a fine show, but I eventually warmed up to more as Bojji started to impact a lot of the side characters in different ways. It's quite clear that the story depends on Bojji being more of the character that the other characters in the show react to. Yes he does get stronger. Yes he has a buddy that stays with him. All of this almost made the story to be quite plain. But then the other characters had more shades to them than the token stereotypes that they first appeared to be, and that level of character development ... to everyone that interacts with Bojji really pushed the show to better than I expected

I think this show has been blown up in ratings quite a bit. To be overrated actually.

But it's quite good, if you're willing to stick around.

Full Disclosure: I've never seen Magi, so I don't know what people are referring to when they say that the original creator has fallen from grace. Because the OC can make whatever they want, and Orient...was fine (LOL). It was going to be the worst show of the season for me, but the last 5 or 6 episodes made me like it...a little bit more.

Look, I know I'm not really selling the show and really, if I had heard of the show a few years later with a few other parts of it available with everyone saying its not worth their time...I'd fall right ... in and believe them.

The only reason I recommend this show is...because its there

And its not Tokyo 24-ku.

There's not much I can really say about this show. An intellectually overpowered character with waifu material constantly around him to casually show you how powerful he is....wow such show. It would have been nice if Wein, the lead protagonist, committed to what he set out to do in the beginning (which was likely the draw of the show for many), but...nah just 'accidently' build an empire (tee hee).

I don't remember anything particularly interesting about the show outside of some well endowed princess, so if that's your thing, you'll ignore much of what I just said and enjoy this show quite a lot. It ... would have been nice if the show started to lean into an ecchi plot...but no...we have something else.

but not particularly good either

Solid police show that sort of goes into the various duties and scenarios that may be occur as a member of the police force (or at least in some part of Japan). Shion Wakayama's performance as Mai Kawai is my kind of humor, and her delivery and Mai's experience as a fresh faced officer really offer a good amount of enjoyment to the show.

I will say that the show does drag for a bit in between, the music isn't that great, and all the other characters can be one-dimensional at times (contributing to moments when the show begins to drag)

But eventually the story and ... character interactions tighten up (natural to the conclusion of the show) to bring the enjoyment back.

I know there is but one problematic element to this show, but if I were to give you one reason to watch it, it would be the characters trying to figure out what they mean to each other. We have a protagonist whose life seems to be going nowhere and we have the secondary character whose life hasn't really begun. All it takes is one simple moment to spark a relationship that is truly worth investing 13 episodes for.

Next to that, we have an atmosphere and music that treat the progression of their relationship rather delicately and punctuate the rather distant feelings that seem ... to occur for much of the show. I related quite strongly to the main lead not interested in the partner he previously had, so there's some bias and self-insertion there.

Overall, it's a show worth trying if you're looking for a rather delicate show that ends rather predicably, but rather tenderly
