Hey there! I'm Violet Green :)
I think I started my anime addiction with Ouran High School Host Club some years ago. It's quite ironic because this anime is making fun of the typical characters that appear in manga and anime; which I as newby didn't realise.
Eventually I prefered manga over anime and I spend more time reading those instead. My favorite mangas are Skip Beat, lucky for me it is still ongoing. Because I think my favorite deserves an introduction, here I go:
Skip Beat!
This manga is funny, romantic and has some kind of realism in it that you wouldn't expect when you start reading it. However, the manga contains strong characters who have developed personalities and try to cope with the hardships live brings them. Kyoko, the main character, is someone who grows on you and she is actually I character that learned me important life lessons. It's so funny because this manga looks so very easy-going from the outside. As our characters go into character for a role they have to take, we learn a new side of them and I actually think that Kyoko and Ren are one of the best developed characters I ever saw in a manga. Even the anime from this manga doesn't go very deep. This manga made me laugh, cry and will always have a place in my heart.
