Koe no Katachi a 4? lol.

I'm not very knowledgeable on instrumentals either, so I'm not sure I can help with that, haha.
But yeah, they sound like drums to me.

That's exactly the reason why I mix between the two, because I pretty much only listen to Event Horizon lol.

Haha, thank you :P
Oh you're a neighbor! Happy birthday to you (super early edition xd) in case I forget to wish you in time!
Crimson Dec 31, 2016 11:06 PM
Nevermind my last comment, I was half asleep when I posted it, honestly.
I am waiting for you last summer is actually the name of the band, and Event Horizon is the song.
I always mix them up for some reason, and since Event Horizon's been pretty much the only song I listen to by them, I don't remember the names of the other songs.
Though I just remembered two of them that I liked. Listen to Solar Wind and Medley Season
Although they're not nearly as good as Event Horizon, they're still good.

Happy new year to you too!
Crimson Dec 30, 2016 1:03 AM
Nice to see another fan of Event Horizon :)
I am waiting for you last summer is by far my favorite song by them.

And now I'm the one who's been away from MAL for a long time. I hope you've been doing well in the meantime? It's good to have someone you can talk about ZE. I'm so glad I klicked on your profile, it makes me really happy and I'm already looking forward to all our conversations.

I replayed VLR last week and am ready to jump into ZTD (pun intended =3=). I was already notified that my copy has been shipped and I'll probably be able to play the game on release day. If you want you can message me when you've finished the game. I'd be happy to discuss it with you together! I wish you so much fun! Again, it's unbelieveable we got the game in the first place. It's just... It were the right circumstances.
SleepyBear Jun 13, 2016 10:08 PM
Goodness hello! I hardly ever check MAL and when I do I usually don't check messages so sorry that this reply is so late, I suppose you might not see it for a bit either. If you'd like, feel free to message me on tumblr if you have one, I tend to be on there more frequently! (I'll send you a private message with my url :) )

I like your new username! I do remember your old one as well, and wow I can't believe it's been 3 years since the last message...apologies for not replying (unless I did at the time? well, it's just been that long.) I look back on old messages too, and always hesitate to message people back if it's been a while because I wonder if they'll be weirded out, so I'm glad that we could reconnect.

I hope your health has been doing better, and that life otherwise will bring good things your way ^^. I have been doing pretty okay, also had some rough patches myself since the last time we talked but life keeps going on doesn't it? So much has changed in my life since then and I'm sure your life has changed in some ways too.

Haha I haven't read much manga over the last 6 months honestly, also BL-wise I feel like I've read a lot of what's interesting to me and is available in English? I know there's lots of interesting BL out there still being published but it'll be a while before it's available for english-speakers I suppose.

I see that you read Prunus Girl, I really loved that one. What were your thoughts on it?

I am currently in FE hell, I've finished all of Fates plus all the DLC available in English at the moment and I'm restarting FE9: Path of Radiance, which I started playing quite a while ago but never finished.

Thank you so much! I am hoping to draw more this summer!

Steven Universe is lovely, check it out if you've got the time!

Are you excited for the CCS remake?
lady_freyja May 14, 2016 7:14 AM
One month is not too late, don't worry. へへ (Plus I myself took my time to answer you, since I had a charged week >.>)
I was just wondering what happened to you, because sometime people simply disappear like that without warning and never comes back. :(

First: thank you a lot for warning me about kazeki! I'm really happy to see the scanlation still alive. 💙
If I understand well, they are currently working on the volume 12! \o/

Also the beginning when Maki chose to give BOTH candies, with no preference over the other, I was like yes!! I’m so glad!! It was like a way to say, what does it matter where you fall inside the gender binary. Aikawa is still Aikawa no matter what. It was nice to read. Maybe I can finish it before the summer ends.

I see that you finished it quickly in the end. へへ

But yes, that's probably why that manga is so "good" in my eyes, the blurred boundaries between the genders, and how it is light-hearted.
If you wish the French expression that I use to describe what I feel is "être sur un petit nuage rose", or something like that.

For the aces, I never watched Free, so I can't speak about that one.
Tomoyo, I always liked her, for her personality, but also because of the yuri (of course >.>). But I never watched her under the ace angle.
But yes, I totally understand what you mean (notably thank the link, because Sakura is an old watch へへ’). She's even more cooler as a "lesbo-romantic asexual" than as a simple "lesbian". 💕

Though for Haruhi, I don't really understand what you see in her. You mean, some kind of demi-sexuality?

But, it is nice if you find some characters to relate to.
In fact, it is rather interesting, for taking the Tomoyo's example again:
In the yuri sphere, some people consider her as an "akogare", which can be summarized as "phase lesbianism" or "lesbian before graduation", and thus consider that kind of characters as "homophobic". I always find that "phase homosexuality"="expression of homophobia" rather dubious, implying that the sexuality is something fixed, that cannot change over the time, some kind of an essentialist sexuality.
But that reading also exclude the asexual perspective, which tend to be ignored by people. And probably other unknown perspectives too.

Somehow, we can interpret a character the way we want, and seeing Tomoyo as an akogare or as an ace change a lot of thing. In the end, the way CLAMP designed her doesn't really matter, it is how we receive her that matters.

And… I write that, but I dunno where I want to go by saying that. >.>
Well… it's just a "funny observation", I guess. へへ’

Now your lovely comment made my day :) I just came home from a tiring 5-day workshop and it was so nice to read your message. Thank you! It's fantastic to find fellow ZE fans!

I remember when I finished VLR for the first time how devastated I was back then. The series ended on a cliffhanger and Uchikoshi himself tweeted that there won't likely be a third and final entry. Skip forward to today and we're three months away from the conclusion. Amazing! :)

Also think about it, there will be fans in the future who will be able to play the whole trilogy in one run. No four year waiting period included :o My mind still can't comprehend this.
lady_freyja Mar 30, 2016 5:45 AM
People are a little scary, right? :)

Kaze to Ki no Uta, my frustration. TT
I read the one or two first volumes, but when I saw that the scanlation is stopped (or very slow?) around the volume 8, I preferred to stop myself than being forced to stop reading it because there is no more chapter available after I got totally engrossed by it.
So for the time being, I content myself with the movie… and perhaps I overrated it because of that frustration. へへ’
My best bet for reading it is probably to properly learn reading Japanese, and import the manga directly from Japan. :D
Because, because, because… I really want to read it. TT
I love that shōjo old-school art-style, the characters are really gorgeous and seem to be likable, and I love good tragedies.
Well… I'm frustrated. 💔

Concerning the BL/GL and yaoi/yuri dichotomy. I wonder.
Because yes, that's true. Sadly, for a lot of people, both "yaoi" and "yuri" have an heavy sexual connotation, if they don't interpret them as mere subgenres of porn… >.>
While BL/GL don't have that connotation, from what I know.
So, in order to avoid misunderstanding, the usage of BL/GL should be better… Especially since I don't care about sex.
But like you with BL/GL, I'm too used of saying yaoi/yuri, I mean the first websites that I frequented when my interest for anime/manga began, they were called "yuri nation", "yuri canon", "yuri reviews", "yuri and yaoi lovers united" et cætera. And even our French editor use those words. So… hmm… here… that's it. :D

Your replies to HikiMaru are so knowledgeable. Thank you, I’ll take my time with them, there is a lot haha.

But everything come from my reading of articles/thesis…

And sometime, I wonder about their validity/quality, or if they don't contains some errors here and there. I'm notably a little circumspect by the thesis from Acres (that I linked to HikiMaru); some things mentioned in it don't fits well with others papers that I read before…

So my knowledge is actually… hmm… "soilless"? Meaning that comes from only from "books", essentially from English/French authors, but I never got into Japan, was never able to "see for myself". Plus if for yuri I have a somewhat large vision of that genre, and thus I'm able to take some distance, that's totally not the case for yaoi. And since I don't read Japanese, I'm limited…
And… yeah… I'm no expert, I basically repeat what I read, with very few filters (there is more in yuri, like I said).
And outside yuri/yaoi/crossdressing stuffs, I have very basic knowledge about manga in general, some notions to the shōjo demographic, but that's all.

Just, for the "recs" from my fav'.
If I really enjoyed Girl Friends and Pietà for what they are.
For Prunus Girl, there is a very big big bias: that manga have a good reputation nonetheless, but if it hited my favourites, it is probably because of that bias.

If you remember, I made a ranting about how I prefer by far fantasy/idealized stories over the "realistic" ones, in that topic. Prunus Girl is exactly that for me, it is my "go-happy" manga, it warms my heart and… I simply miss English expressions to describe it… へへ’
So for me, it is by far the best otokonoko manga that I ever read, and one of the best manga at all, because that manga represents a lot for me. But fundamentally, Prunus Girl is simply a "stupid" rom-com.

So if after reading it you find it average (or good but nothing exceptional… or bad…? TT) and wonder why it is in my fav', that's why. へへ’

I’m always up for impressionable titles about different sexualities, and I’m slowly getting more into yuri lately. I’ve always enjoyed it but never actually sought it out. That’s changed in the past year or so as I’m slowly becoming more aware of myself and my interests.

Ah yes, you defined yourself as an asexual biromantic if I remember correctly?
Did you find some works that spoke to you? I'm curious. へへ

And I'm curious about how you'll find the character of Yū in Yagate Kimi ni Naru/Bloom into you, and another character (won't spoil へへ) is also pretty cool. Because that manga is the one who gives me the most of "ace vibes", if I would say so.
And MihoWittmann seems to agree with me, since he recommend it to you because of the "demi-sexual" MC. Yū totally give me that impression, and that "other character" as the full-fledged asexual.

Why, thank you!
If you want, I continued the conversation with HikiMaru on our comments feed, in order to avoid being off-topic.

Feel free to say a little "hello", I don't bite. :)
Plus like you can see on our conversation with HikiMaru with my last message send to her, I can be quite talkative. >.>

BTW, I see that you added Girl Friends, Prunus Girl and Pietà to you PTR list, with the two yuri it can be a coincidence, but with Prunus… you took them from my favourites? :D

Hey there, just thought I'd stop by to say that I like your forum avatar.

Oh, Its good to see you again.
Ahahah, i never think of Ü as a smiling face. Now i see nothing but smiling face.
Well... I'm doing well because of Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai's last chapter. I just read it and i'm in the hype-zone. You have to read it! (ᗒᗊᗕ)
coshkunz Feb 1, 2016 12:37 AM
I love tricky things so Japanese might become fun to me.
Wow 24 letters looking really easy. Japanese seems like a chaos besides Korean. I heard Turkish is a little complex for English speakers too. In our language we use the agglutination thing so it's a hard language to them. Plus we have 29 letters but it's coming from Latin alphabet so it's not a problem.
Ğ-Ü-Ş-Ö-Ç----> ((these weird characters in it))
Oh, i just unconsciously began to give a Turkish lesson Σ(-᷅_-᷄๑)
coshkunz Jan 31, 2016 5:43 AM
Ahahahah well yes, everyone loves Hisoka's theme ♡(.◜▽◝.)♡
Turkish speakers mostly a little shy about speaking another language so there're in the dark side of this website. Actually, right now a little hard to say what i wanna say in English but i'm gonna improve my 2nd language eventually by this way. (talking on the internet, i mean)
I find learning languages interesting too. I want to learn Korean after Japanese and than Spanish maybe.
