hi i'm bird and i'm so so so so So So tired of the hypersexualization of teenage girls. they don't deserve that.*

i have adhd so sitting down and watching a full episode of something is very hard, which makes reading manga easier since it requires more attention (you gotta click the next page button), so i'm pretty bad at starting and finishing anime, but also just media consumption in general takes me Forever.

i love fantasy/big epic world-saving stories but i don't have the emotional capacity to enjoy very many of those so i end up watching more slice-of-life for some reason. in-between type shows like tsuritama are really good, world-saving background w kids being kids up front is cute and light.

sports anime is fun because it treats itself overly serious even though it's just. high school, but it's all about those sweet interpersonal bonds.

character driven growth is ideal, and my favorite trope is found family ones.

*also included in this would be: huge age gap pairings (all of them, but Especially young girls with older guys), over sexualization of young boys as well (they're kids!!), gross fanservice of women in general, fujoshi/otaku culture surrounding gay/lesbian/trans people, incest/incest like developments, basically any of that really icky stuff that's so indoctrinated in anime subcultures. it's bad y'all
